As the year turns, I want to take a moment to wish everyone in my network a healthy, prosperous, and genuinely fulfilling 2026.
This time as I start another freshly minted year, I am being mindful to avoid making bold resolutions which seek to reinvent myself dramatically. Rather, I am focused on what kind of person I want to be, and how I will show up to the world on a day-by-day basis.
Furthermore, the year ahead feels less about acceleration and more about intention. A chance to strengthen what’s already working, prepare quietly for what may come next, and leave enough space for curiosity and learning. Progress does not always come from doing more. Often, it comes from choosing more carefully.
Health feels similarly foundational. Not optimization for its own sake, but steady habits that support energy, clarity, and resilience over the long term. Consistency beats intensity, and caring for ourselves is not separate from doing good work.
I’m also thinking more about relationships — not in terms of intensity, but continuity. Staying present. Staying reachable. Investing gently and consistently in family, friends, and colleagues. In a fast-moving world, reliability and warmth still matter.
Finally, there’s presence. Not permanent calm, but awareness. The ability to notice when something needs adjustment, to slow down enough to recognize what’s going well, and to leave parts of life unstructured so there’s room for reflection and enjoyment.
If there’s a mindset I hope to carry into the year ahead, it’s this: choose perspective over control, and act with a longer horizon in mind. Small, thoughtful decisions add up. Ordinary days deserve attention. And a well-lived year is often built quietly.
Wherever this year finds you — building, transitioning, or rethinking — I hope it brings you good health, meaningful work, steady relationships, and moments of real presence along the way.
Wishing you a strong and grounded year ahead.
